4Lunch and Waterfalls
Informed of Pick-up the night before via WhatsApp. Arrived at our hotel on time. The mini bus was clean and well equipped. Few more pickups and we were on our way. After 45 minutes we stopped at a view point for 15 minutes. A bit disappointing as expected beautiful views of the Atlas Mountains. Ok if you wanted to purchase a coffee though. Then onto an Argan cooperative, which was very informative. Tried some of the products and also given freshly made bread, honey, argan oil, olive oil to eat. Obviously finished in the shop but no pressure to buy. Next stop was around 45 minutes away...lunch by the river. 3 course meal, paid as part of tour, was very good. Around 4 choices for each course. You only paid for drinks. Final stop was a 45 minute hike to the Ourika Waterfalls. Guide was Hamza, who was extremely helpful to all those who struggled enroute. Many rocks and steps to negotiate and would recommend decent trainers to wear. Waterfall were lovely. Stopped for 30 minutes there for photos and refreshments before returning same route down. It's quite touristy with lots of people selling stuff on the route but didn't spoil the experience as you weren't pestered to buy. Journey home was around 90 minutes. Driver, Mustapha, was excellent, considerate and most important, a safe driver. Our tour guide, Samir, was also excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Her English and French was very good. Would recommend the tour.

About Marrakech
At the foot of the Atlas Mountains, red-walled Marrakech is famed for its maze-like medina, lively main square and tranquil riads and gardens.
Jemaa el-Fnaa, the great square at the centre of the medina, changes character through the day, from juice sellers and snake charmers in the morning to smoke-wreathed food stalls and musicians after dark. The minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque rises nearby as the city's landmark, and the souks spread north in a warren of lanes selling leather, lanterns, carpets and spices.
Top-ranked sights in Marrakech: Atlas Mountains, Tizi-n'Tichka Pass, Jemaa el-Fna (Djemaa el-Fna).
