Experience the best of Casablanca
Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and economic engine, an Atlantic metropolis of Art Deco boulevards, a seaside corniche and a monumental mosque.

The Hassan II Mosque stands on a platform over the ocean, its minaret among the tallest in the world and its prayer hall decorated with carved cedar, marble and zellige tilework by thousands of craftsmen. It is one of the few mosques in Morocco that non-Muslim visitors can enter, on guided visits.
The city centre is a showcase of Art Deco and Moorish-revival buildings from the early twentieth century, especially around Boulevard Mohammed V and the Central Market. The Habous Quarter, built as a model medina in the French era, has calm arcades, bookshops and pastry shops, and the old medina leads down to the port. Along the Corniche in Aïn Diab, beach clubs, cafés and restaurants line the shore.
Seafood is excellent here, along with Moroccan staples such as tagine, couscous and harira soup, and sweet pastries from the city's patisseries. The climate is mild all year thanks to the ocean, with warm summers and cool, wetter winters. Casablanca is the arrival point for many travellers, with Rabat, El Jadida and Marrakech easily reached by train.
