Lindos, is an attractive,atmospheric old village perched on a steep cliff side mountain. It overlooks some of the most beautiful beaches and seas in Greece. All the houses are white with blue and colourful flowers are everywhere. Walk through then labyrinth of little streets in a whitewashed village and explore the many stores and shops. The restaurants and bars are worthy of a multi-day visit and the people are friendly and welcoming. Lindos is a beautiful village definitely worth a look around if you are looking to immerse yourself in the Greek way of living. Winding your way through narrow streets up to the castle or lazing on the beach and then sipping a wine and enjoying delicious Greek cuisine in the many rooftop restaurants with fabulous views over the village and the Aegean sea. You can make also, a donkey ride which is very popular, up to the ruins and looked down onto the most breathtaking view over the sea and St. Paul's Bay. It's really worthing going to Lindos.

About Rhodes

Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese islands, with a walled medieval town of the Knights of St John, white villages and long beaches in the sun.

Rhodes Old Town is a medieval city whose walls still stand, built by the Knights of St John. Their cobbled Street of the Knights climbs to the Palace of the Grand Master. The town is lived in, with restaurants, mosques and small shops in the lanes. The Colossus of Rhodes, a giant statue of the sun god Helios and one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, once stood somewhere in the city, though no trace remains.
