Itinerary
This is the port of departure. Once we make the pick-up we will head there and from there to Ithaca by Ferry Boat.
This is the port of arrival . The port of pisaetos . From there the journey will begin to explore Ithaca.
We first of all make our way to the capital town of Vathy where you have time for shopping, an ideal opportunity to purchase some of the hand made lace produced by the local ladies or to pay a visit to the towns archaeological or folklore museums.
Here the Monastery of Panagia Katharon is located on the Mt. Neritos at a height of 600 meters (1,967 feet), with its spectacular views to the whole of the Southern part of Ithaca.
The village of Anoghi with its renowned church of Panagia, known to have renovated to its current form at the end of the 17th century but believed to be dating back to the 12th century. The church is dedicated to Panagia and its interior features notable and impressively preserved Byzantine frescos.
Υou continue to the village of Stavros (distance 5 km.). This is the biggest town in the northern part of the island, having Ulysses’ effigy in the main square, and an interesting archaeological museum. The findings of the excavations that took place in the area are exhibited here and you will have the chance to have a short liik at this small yet most interesting collection dating from the Mycenean and Corinthian Periods.
You will then continue further to the north, to the piscturesque village of Kioni (distance 5 km.). This traditional settlement is one of the loveliest in Ithaca with typical houses built amphitheatrically round a small wind protected cove. Here, you will have some free time to explore the souvenir shops or quaint cafes, before boarding your vehicle for the return trip back to the port of Piso Aetos
From Kioni we will head back at Pisaetos port so the journey back home will begin.

About Cephalonia
Cephalonia is the largest of the Ionian islands, a mountainous Greek island of white pebble beaches, caves, vineyards and the fir forests of Mount Ainos.
Cephalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands, off Greece's west coast, a rugged island of limestone mountains, deep bays and olive groves. A strong earthquake in 1953 levelled most of its towns, and many were rebuilt in a plainer style; Fiskardo, in the north, was spared and keeps its Venetian-style houses around a small harbour. Argostoli, the capital, has a long waterfront and a stone causeway bridge across its lagoon.
Top-ranked sights in Cephalonia: Myrtos Beach (Paralía Mirtos).
