5Inspiring Fort Walk
Very immersive experience into understanding the history of Bombay! I understood the history of all my favourite places in Fort, and now feel encouraged to look up more and explore the places with a new lens. Thank you Khaki Tours and Rahul for a brilliant experience!
5Khaki Tours - Greeting Ganesha walk
My first heritage walk with Khaki Tours—the 'Greeting Ganesha' tour in Girgaon—was an absolutely fabulous experience. Even as a Mumbai local of forty years, this two-hour walk unveiled so many hidden stories and cultural nuances I would have otherwise missed. We had the privilege of visiting some of Mumbai’s oldest and most historic pandals, including the city's first Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal dating back to the early 1900s, and the iconic Girgaoncha Ganpati. Exploring these beautifully decorated setups, most over a century old, offered a deep glimpse into pre-independence history. A highlight was visiting the artisan workshops dedicated to crafting intricate ornaments exclusively for the deities. Our host, Ram sir, was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable, bringing Mumbai's heritage to life so warmly. We ended the walk on a perfect, sweet note with delicious Ukdiche modak. It was a culturally rich experience for my family, including my daughter, and I highly recommend it to everyone. I’m definitely looking forward to joining more of their walks!

4A Walk to Remember
I went for the Girgaon Ganpati Walking trip and thoroughly enjoyed the festive fervour of the city of Mumbai. The guide Sultan was courteous, warm, amicable, and he created a holistic experience through his storytelling trying to provide insight into the densely populated closely knit neighborhood of Girgaon and the culture, warmth, diversity of the communities living in and around the wadi(s). Cherry on top was the flavorful Ukdiche Modak from Girgaon kitchen, it was the perfect madhurena shamapayet. Looking forward to walk together with Khaki Tours yet again, and knowing this beautiful city a little better.

About Mumbai
Mumbai is India's restless, glamorous megacity on the Arabian Sea, a city of colonial landmarks, seaside promenades, film studios and street food.
The Gateway of India faces the harbour beside the grand Taj Mahal Palace hotel, and Colaba's streets fill with cafés and markets. The Gothic-revival Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Victorian and Art Deco buildings around the Oval Maidan show the city's architectural ambition.
Top-ranked sights in Mumbai: Gateway of India, Dhobi Ghat, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT).
