Highlights
Ancient Greek Sangria Workshop You might be confused as to why there is a Sangria Workshop on Aegina, be confused no more! Yes, when we think Sangria, we think of Spain (and I have been running Sangria Workshops in Barcelona for 14 years). However, did you know that in Ancient Greece there was a drink called Hippocras, which is a version of Sangria! The Ancient Greeks mixed wine, spices, and fruit, unique to Greece, and used Masthia liquor!

About Saronic Gulf Islands
The Saronic Gulf Islands are a group of Greek islands near Athens, among them Aegina, Hydra, Poros and Spetses, linked by short ferry rides.
The Saronic Gulf Islands lie in the sea between Athens and the Peloponnese, close enough to be reached from Piraeus by ferry or hydrofoil. Aegina, the nearest large island, has the Temple of Aphaia, a Doric temple set among pines, and a harbour town of fishing boats and pistachio sellers. Hydra, where cars are not used, is a rocky island of stone mansions built by sea captains, with donkeys and water taxis doing the carrying.
