Itinerary

  1. Head to Mount Royal on this 2-hour fat eBike ride. Like the Eiffel Tower in Paris or the Empire State Building in NYC, Mount Royal is a natural landmark and a way to orient yourself in Montreal. Montréalers are proud of their "mountain". Though it's more like a large hill in the heart of Montreal, Mount Royal still draws anyone in search of nature and space. The public park also rewards those who make their way to the summit with a wonderful view of the city. The summit has a lookout and park designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famous for his work on Central Park in NYC. Montreal's landmark park doesn't let winter cramp its style. Its 190 hectares (470 acres) offer some of the city's most stunning skyline views atop Mont-Royal's three peaks, the highest of which rises a modest 233 meters (764 feet) above sea level. It’s a sprawling playground that's perfect for cycling.

  • 5A super fun adventure all over Mont Royal!

We had a great time on this tour. The views are beautiful. Riding through the snow is a really different and adventurous experience. David, our tour guide is really good at instructing on how to ride the bike and he's also a great your guide who will give you a lot of interesting information about the city. The ride lasted around 3 hours and was a magical experience while it was snowing. There are two places where we had an opportunity to rest and get a snack or drink. Dress warm, and just book this adventure. You will not be disappointed!

  • 5Fantastic bike ride on the snow!!!

What a great way to see the park and ride a bike in the snow, where apart from walkers everyone else was skiing 🥶 - David was a great guide, full if info and spare hats, gloves and everything you need - do it!!!

  • 5Super awesome way to experience Montreal - even when it’s freezing and snowing!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!! We had such a great time with David - despite the weather being >10 degrees Fahrenheit with intermittent snow. David got us comfortable on the e-bikes (we’d never done them), and even though it was slushy conditions in parts or packed snow and we had to navigate x-country skiers and bicyclists and runners we felt safe and confident following David’s lead. David even gave us history and cultural commentary throughout, so we learned a lot, too. David was awesome - highly recommend! And don’t let cold—a$$ weather deter you - it’s still possible to do the tour, and we ended up having David all to ourselves.

  • 5Had Fun

Very unique and fun experience! David (sorry, I forgot to ask your name, I got it from other's reviews and hopefully it's correct.) told me the potential risks from the start, but I still decided to go ahead, because this was a completely new winter experience for me, and I didn’t want to miss it. However, although I’m usually experienced at cycling, I didn’t expect that the Fat eBike was a bit different and would be so challenging for someone who isn’t very tall (like me). But I am happy to say I've challenged myself! David helped me in a unique way, and I really appreciate that! I made the right decision doing this activity, and of course, it wouldn’t have been possible without David’s help. Thank you for your kindness, patience, and professionalism!

About Montreal

Montreal is a French-speaking island city on the St Lawrence River, with a cobbled old port, a mountain park and a lively food and festival scene.

Montreal stands on an island in the St Lawrence River, rising to Mount Royal, the wooded hill from which it takes its name. Old Montreal has cobbled streets, stone warehouses and Notre-Dame Basilica, whose deep-blue vaulted interior is covered in gold stars. Frederick Law Olmsted, designer of New York's Central Park, laid out the park on the mountain, and a lookout over the downtown towers sits near its top.

Top-ranked sights in Montreal: Old Montreal (Vieux-Montréal), Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal (Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal), Bonsecours Market (Marché Bonsecours).
