5Village Hopping!
Great tour! Small bus format made it more personal. This was a good way to get a feel for the interior of the island, including several village stops. The logistics including pick up and drop off were good. Our guide Thanos was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and fun! Our stops to the various tasting and demonstrations (olives, honey, kitron) were well worth it. There was also some time on our own which was appreciated.

About Naxos
Naxos, the largest of the Cyclades, mixes long sandy beaches, mountain villages, marble quarries and a Venetian old town.
Naxos Town, the island's capital, is a whitewashed port with a Venetian castle on the hill above and narrow lanes winding through its centre. Out on the harbour islet stands the Portara, a huge marble doorway, all that remains of an unfinished temple of Apollo begun in the sixth century BC. The island is greener than most of its neighbours, with fertile valleys, springs and the Cyclades' highest peak, Mount Zas.
