Itinerary
The House of the Virgin Mary is located 6 km (3.7 mi) from Ephesus and surrounded by pine and olive trees. It is made of stone and looks very small and humble. Outside the house is a "wishing wall," which pilgrims have used by tying their intentions on paper or fabric. A nearby water source is also believed to have miraculous healing powers. Several popes visited the shrine after the first visit of the VI. Paul in 1967.
After Mary's house, your guide will escort you to sights in Ephesus, informing you about the history of impressive Roman structures as you walk through the magnificent Marble Street of the city. Ephesus is Turkey's most visited ancient site and the third largest city of the Roman Empire after Alexandria and Rome. Once, it was a trading center of the Asia province of the Roman Empire known as Asia Minor. During your stay in Ephesus, you will be amazed by two-thousand-year-old structures such as the Parliament House, Temple of Domitian, Memmius Monument, Heracles Gate, mosaic-covered pavements, bathhouses, public toilets, the Third Largest Library of the Ancient World, the shops, the Largest Theater of Turkey where St. Paul preached and many others.
The last historical spot of your tour will be the Temple of Artemis (Diana) which was one of the seven wonders of the ancient World.

5Exceptional guide Hazel
Our guide Hazel was professional and extent accommodating. You can tell from the start that she is well educated in the history and stories she told in a warm and transcending manner. Our driver as well, was kind and drove well. Hazel really made the tour worthwhile. Our time was flexible to the hour and we completed the tour in good time.
5Enjoying Ephesis
We had a great guide. Hazel is knowledgeable and informative. We’re older and she sized up our limitations immediately. We saw everything we intended to see to see. We had a light lunch and we’re back to our ship with time to spare. No anxieties. We highly recommend this guide.
5Amazing Ephesus tour
Gulsah did an amazing job, and really let us custom tailor our day according to what we wanted to see. It was a very informative and great experience with an amazing farm to table lunch that was delicious.
5Great tour for Ephesus and surrounding area.
We loved our private tour with Gulsah. She was knowledgeable and kind. She tailored our itinerary based on our preferences and also had amazing suggestions. The lunch was delicious local farm to table cuisine.
5Excellent and professional guide service through Ephesus!
Gulsah met us immediately following disembarkation from the ship and was lovely the entire time spent with her. We were picked up in a luxurious sprinter van and expertly guided us through a tour of the Ephesus ruins, lunch at a local farm to table eatery, and a leather goods store complete with a fashion show! Would 100% recommend this tour and Gulsah as a guide. We skipped the lines, ate wonderful food, and went to places that were not overly pushy and aggressive.
5Ephesus
It was perfect. Hazal is very well-informed and interesting. She doesn't overload the clients and is flexible about altering the schedule to fit in with your interests. I really rate this tour company.
