We begin in Chania, where I pick you up from your hotel, villa, or port. Before we head south, we take a moment to go over the plan for the day. This is a private experience, so the route can adapt to your preferences. From the first minute, the day is shaped around you.
On our way back to Chania, we design the final part of the day together. Depending on your interests, we can visit a cave, a historic monastery, a local winery, a traditional restaurant, or enjoy a honey tasting in a small village. Each option adds a different flavor to your day, from culture and history to authentic Cretan tastes. This is not a fixed schedule tour. About Chania
Chania, on Crete's north-west coast, is a Venetian harbour town of old mosques and tall houses, with mountain gorges and beaches within reach.
Chania's old harbour is a crescent of tall Venetian houses facing a stone breakwater and a lighthouse rebuilt by the Egyptians in the nineteenth century. The domed Mosque of the Janissaries stands on the quay, left from the Ottoman centuries, and behind it narrow lanes in the Splantzia and Topanas quarters pass Venetian and Ottoman houses, churches and small workshops. The cross-shaped covered market sells cheese, honey and herbs.
