Itinerary
The most sought after destination in Munnar is the Eravikulam National Park, the first of its kind in Kerala, where the endangered Nilgiri Thar is protected. Spread over 97 sq. km., this park holds the largest viable population of Tahr, several other species of rare animals, birds and butterflies. The park offers a magnificent view of the tea plantations and also of the rolling hills caressed by blankets of mist. The park becomes a hot destination when the hill slopes get covered in a carpet of blue, resulting from the flowering of Neelakurinji. It is a plant endemic to this part of the Western Ghats which blooms once in twelve years.

5Chinnar tour
Fantastic experience if you want to connect with nature, see animals in their natural habitat, and go trekking through the fabulous waterfalls of the region! An even better experience thanks to our fantastic guide, Vinoth, who, with his experience and professionalism, gave us an exceptional day.
5Loved every bit of it.
I had an excellent experience at the Chinnar tour. We covered a short trek in chinnar to the waterfall in the middle of the forest. We also went to Erivakulam national part - the Walt to the top and the view were breath taking. The drive to these locations in itself were a treat. Since it was April I also got to see Neelakurinji in full bloom. The tour by jeep was special and the driver Surya was well aware of the local fun facts and extremely polite and helpful.
5Great tour!!!
It was a real pleasure to do this Tour with Ganesh. He is a very good and safe driver who at the same time spots animals hiding in the bushes. We saw a lot of different animals and the treck in Chinnar to the Waterfall was stunning. Strongly recommend the tour. Thank you Ganesh!
5Memorable day in Eravikulam and Chinnar
Surya was an excellent guide, he drove me to some beautiful places including Eravikulam national park where I saw Nilgiri Tahr and black eagles and Chinnar wildlife sanctuary where I saw buffalo and a beautiful waterfall. During the drive the scenery was spectacular, including constant views of Anamudi, and I was able to fully enjoy it as Surya was such a great driver. Thank you for a really enjoyable day, I loved every minute!
1Third class experience. Complete waste of money.
Third class experience. Complete waste of money. Booked online and paid over Rs 7000 and ended up with no tour. Thanks to lousy communication. Lousy management. Lousy support.
4A perfect soak in the nature
The entire jeep safari in Munnar was filled with mesmerizing natural beauty. Our tour started around 8:30 AM and covered several beautiful spots and viewpoints throughout the day. I especially enjoyed the waterfalls and was lucky to spot a herd of deer near the sandalwood forest. Our guide and driver, **Ganesh Raja**, was very experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable about the local areas. The ride felt safe, comfortable, and engaging thanks to his detailed explanations and cheerful nature. Although we hoped to see elephants, we didn’t encounter any during this trip. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this safari to anyone looking to explore Munnar—particularly the Chinnar region—especially if you don’t have a self-drive rental vehicle or prefer a well-planned full-day experience. The trip ended pleasantly around 6 PM.

About Munnar
Munnar is a hill station in Kerala's Western Ghats, where tea bushes cover the slopes and the Nilgiri tahr grazes on grassland above the clouds.
Munnar lies at around 1,500 metres in the Western Ghats of Kerala, at the meeting of three rivers, which is where its name comes from. The hills around town are covered in rolling tea estates planted by British growers in the nineteenth century, and cardamom and pepper grow on the slopes of the Cardamom Hills nearby. A small museum tells the story of the tea industry.
