  • 5Lovely Autumn day activity

We had a wonderful tour with Victoria on a beautiful sunny Autumn day. The tour included all of the major highlights including the Abbey, the pump rooms, the royal crescent and poultney bridge, but also lots of extra details and nuggets of information. Victoria was so knowledgable, and a great storyteller. 100% recommend!

  • 5100% recommend the free guided tour and Wednesday morning Mike was great!

This morning we had an excellent time exploring bath city on the free guided tour. Our guide Mike (Wednesday morning) was so knowledgable and we loved how passionate he was about the city. We saw beautiful parts of the city we would have likely missed had we been walking alone. I would 100% recommend experiencing the guided tour and you might be lucky enough to meet Mike.

About Bath

Bath, in the west of England, is a Georgian spa city of honey-coloured stone, built around natural hot springs first used by the Romans.

Bath's hot springs were first enclosed by the Romans, who built a temple and bathhouse complex here in the first century, now the Roman Baths museum beside Bath Abbey. In the eighteenth century the city rebuilt itself as a fashionable spa in pale local limestone, and the terraces and crescents designed by John Wood the Elder and the Younger, including the Circus and the Royal Crescent, give it its look. The whole city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
