About Whistler
Whistler, in the coastal mountains of British Columbia, is a ski and mountain-bike resort village between two big peaks, Whistler and Blackcomb.
Whistler sits in a valley of the Coast Mountains, about two hours' drive up the Sea to Sky Highway from Vancouver, with a pedestrian village at the base of two mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb. The Peak 2 Peak gondola links the two mountains across a deep valley. The resort hosted the alpine events of the 2010 Winter Olympics, and the resort takes its name from the whistling calls of the marmots on the slopes.
