  • 5Good walking tour

Our guide was great. She has an archaeology background so the ancient history parts were great. Aberdeen is very small and walkable but it's never flat and it will rain sooner or later, so be prepared. We did this after a Viking bus tour so I feel we got to know Aberdeen well.

  • 5New Aberdeen Walking Tour

The walking tour by Kristy was full of interesting facts about Aberdeen past and present. The walking pace is good for most people. There are sets of stairs you walk on this tour.

  • 5Aberdeen City Centre Walking Tour

Rick was very passionate and knowledgeable about the City. We learned a lot and we knew a bit already about Aberdeen as we had already done the Old Aberdeen tour with Susan. We also had a impromptu stop at the church to see Piper Alpha memorial and art exhibition which would not normally have been open. Very enjoyable tour and glad that we did both tours with Scot Free Tours

About Aberdeen

Aberdeen is a granite city on Scotland's north-east coast, with a historic university, a fishing and oil port, beaches and castles in the countryside.

Aberdeen stands between the rivers Dee and Don on the North Sea, a city built of grey granite that glints with mica in the sun. Old Aberdeen, with its cobbled High Street, the crown tower of King's College chapel and St Machar's Cathedral, preserves a medieval university town, while Marischal College, a vast neo-Gothic granite frontage, looks over Broad Street. Footdee, a small fishing community of low cottages, sits by the harbour mouth.

Top-ranked sights in Aberdeen: Slains Castle, Crathes Castle, Drum Castle, Garden & Estate.
