Highlights
Nemrut mountain with a height of 2150 meters, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. It is one of the most magnificent ruins of the Hellenistic Period. The monumental sculptures spread over the east, west and north terraces are well preserved. These statues are made of 8-10 meters high limestone blocks. Göbekli Tepe 'Potbelly Hill'; known as Girê Miraza is a Neolithic archaeological site in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. Dated to the Pre-Pottery Neolithic, between c. 9500 and 8000 BCE, the site comprises a number of large circular structures supported by massive stone pillars – the world's oldest known megaliths. Many of these pillars are richly decorated with figurative anthropomorphic details, clothing, and reliefs of wild animals, providing archaeologists rare insights into prehistoric religion and the particular iconography of the period.

About Uçhisar
Uçhisar is a Cappadocian village crowned by a honeycombed rock citadel, with wide views over fairy chimneys, valleys and dawn balloons.
Uçhisar stands in the middle of Cappadocia in central Turkey, around a huge natural rock pierced with rooms, tunnels and windows, one of the highest viewpoints in the region. The rock, a citadel carved from soft volcanic tuff, can be climbed for a panorama over the villages and valleys around. The village below has stone houses on steep lanes, many of them converted to hotels and cafés.
