Highlights
Our excursion starts at the view point of Korčula, where you can take a couple of photos. The first vinyards we are going to visit are situated in Lumbarda and are famous for Grk, an autochtonous wine sort.. It is not known whether the name derives from the bitter taste or the old Greeks who settled Lumbarda in the fourth and the third century before Christ bringing their own wine sort. You will have the opportunity to taste Grk at a local winery. Then we drive through the interior of the island, passing the villages of Žrnovo and Pupnat, Pupnatska Luka, one of the most beautiful bays on the island. We continue our trip towards Čara and Smokvica, where you will be able to see vineyards. After the tour through the fields you will get the chance to try Pošip and other wines at two most prominent wineries. On our way to Korčula we will drive along the north-west coast of the island passing a couple of fantastic view points which make an additional proof of how beautiful the island is.

5Perfect Half Day Wine Adventure
This tour ended up exceeding our expectations. Žerko was an excellent tour guide. Being a true local, he was full of information about the area, it's history, and of course lots of details about the local wines. In addition to stopping at 2 beautiful wineries, we stopped at a couple of different viewpoint to take in beautiful Korcula from different vantage points. As for the wineries, both Sabulum and Tasovac were lovely. We especially enjoyed Tasovac, both highly rated with award-winning wines. At Tasovac, we were given a beautiful board of local food products to enjoy along with the wine. Everything was absolutely delicious. Thank you Žerko for the perfect private tour. It was well worth the money.

5Exceptional Experience
We had the best time! It was such a luxurious experience. From the super plush and comfortable Mercedes van, the exceptionally knowledgeable guide to the beautiful and welcoming wineries. We got more of a tour of the island than expected whuch was such a bonus! It was a holiday Sunday and our guide pulled out all the stops to arrange for special tastings complete with a spread of food! The experience exceeded our expectations in every way and we can’t recommend enough!

5MUST Do on Korčula!
The driver was a great source of history of Korčula and the vineyards. Comfortable vehicle, great A/C and amazing hospitality. Highly recommend as a way to learn about the island and it's unique wines.
5Loved our Korcula wine tasting experience
We visited two small family wineries in a private, air conditioned van with a friendly guide (Zarko) who stopped at scenic vistas and described the history, unique wines, and winemaking of the region. We tasted five Posip wines at the first stop (Toreta) paired with an excellent charcuterie board. At the second stop in the Lumbarda region we tasted three Grk wines at Sabulum - another small, family winery. We loved the free range, cork chewing German Shepherd that roamed the tasting area.

About Korčula
Korčula is a green Adriatic island in Croatian Dalmatia, whose walled old town on a small peninsula claims to be the birthplace of Marco Polo.
Korčula Town sits on a small peninsula at the island's eastern end, its medieval walls and round towers rising straight from the sea. The streets inside branch off the main one like the bones of a fish, a plan that lets sea breezes in. St Mark's Cathedral has a belltower that dominates the skyline, and a house said to be Marco Polo's birthplace stands nearby.
Top-ranked sights in Korčula: St. Mark’s Cathedral (Korcula Cathedral).
