  1. "The Popocatépetl volcano is the second highest mountain in Mexico and is located within the Izta-Popo National Park. During our hike, we will have this great colossus as a companion in the landscape. Popocatépetl is an active volcano, so if we're lucky, we might witness some fumaroles or large columns of smoke rising from its crater — always from a safe distance permitted by the authorities."

  2. Hiking in Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl National Park is a truly unforgettable experience. As you walk along the trails, you’ll be surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, alpine forests, and breathtaking views of the volcanoes. The park offers routes for all levels, from gentle walks to more challenging hikes that lead to high-altitude viewpoints. Along the way, you might spot local wildlife, enjoy the crisp mountain air, and learn about the legends of the two iconic volcanoes. It’s the perfect place to connect with nature and take in the beauty of central Mexico.

Your guide will use this model to walk you through the route we’ll be taking and explain what to expect along the way.

About Puebla

Puebla, in the central highlands of Mexico, is a colonial city of tiled façades and baroque churches beneath snow-capped volcanoes.

Puebla's historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is laid out on a grid around the zócalo, with a cathedral whose towers are among the tallest in Mexico, arcaded buildings and façades covered in glazed Talavera tiles. The Rosary Chapel in the Santo Domingo church is covered in gilded plaster, and the Palafoxiana Library, founded in 1646, is among the oldest in the Americas, with shelves of antique books.

Top-ranked sights in Puebla: Alley of the Frogs (Callejón de los Sapos).
