Highlights
I prefer to describe it as a true experience. You’ll discover Tangier through the eyes of a professional tour guide, who shares both historical insight and personal stories. As you walk through the Medina, you’ll gain a real understanding of daily life in Morocco. The experience continues with a camel ride along the beach, followed by a panoramic drive in a private vehicle to admire the natural beauty of the region and visit the famous Caves of Hercules. It’s a memorable journey you’ll carry with you long after you leave—more like spending a day in Tangier with a friend than a typical tour. Based on previous guests’ feedback, feel free to check the reviews of my Tetouan experience as well.

Itinerary
We’ll begin our walking tour through Tangier’s Kasbah, continuing into the charming alleys of the old Medina. Along the way, you’ll discover beautifully decorated streets rich in history and character, offering a true glimpse into the city’s heritage and architectural style. We’ll pass by the Kasbah fortress and stop at the Kasbah Museum, then explore several historic gates such as Bab Bhar, Bab Assa, and Bab Marsa. The tour also includes the tomb of the famous traveler Ibn Battuta, the iconic April 9th Square—marking the transition between the old Medina and the modern city—and the lively Zoco Chico (Souk Dakhel). You’ll also experience the local culture through traditional Moroccan cuisine with lunch at a restaurant in the main square, and explore the vibrant souks where farmers, artisans, and merchants showcase a wide range of handmade products.
We will have a stop to enjoy the beauty of nature, Perdicaris Parc which is located in the most beautiful and classy neighborhood of Tangier ‘Jbel lekbir’, it has an amazing view on the sea and a great story which I will tell you once we’re there.
Stop at The cape of Spartel which marks the western entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar and the only meeting point of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean here in Morocco. We will also see The lighthouse which was built in 1864, it is considered a historic landmark building in Tangier.
We will enjoy camel ride at the beach of Achakar, be prepared for some adventure!
The caves of Hercules which are a major tourist attraction, they have two entrances: natural which is known for its shape as the map of Africa and manmade from we will be entering. The legend states that it was the last resting place for Hercules after performing one of his twelve Labors given to him by King Eurystheus. The cave was used by the Berbers (the indigenous of Morocco) as a quarry for making grinding millstones.
Stop at a local café to enjoy the Moroccan mint tea

About Tangier
Tangier sits where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, a storied Moroccan port of whitewashed medina lanes, a hilltop kasbah and views to Spain.
The medina climbs from the port to the kasbah, where the old sultan's palace, Dar el Makhzen, holds a museum with views across the Strait of Gibraltar. The Grand Socco and Petit Socco were long the meeting points of the city, and their cafés recall Tangier's decades as an international zone that drew writers, musicians and artists.
Top-ranked sights in Tangier: Cape Spartel, Caves of Hercules, Tangier Kasbah.
