5Sunrise paddleboarding fun
Great morning paddleboarding with Vicky. She took us to see cenote negro and the pirate canal. We were able to see the sun rise from the lagoon and had time for some swimming too! Brilliant start to the day
5This is a tour well worth it.
Vicky and David were excellent guides. This is a must-do tour if you come to Bacalar. The sunrise over the lagoon is truly the best.
5Fantastic tour!
Vicki and David were amazing!! Vicki was very kind and funny. David made booking everything easy, and both made sure no one was left behind while maintaining a good pace. It was a fantastic experience :))
5Amazing Sunrise SUP Tour with Vicky & Willy
Vicky and Willy were great guides on our first SUP tour! After a short introduction, we slowly paddled along the coast of Laguna Bacalar to reach Cenote Negro in time for sunrise. We were a small group of just five people, which made the experience feel very relaxed and personal. After a short break at the Cenote, we crossed the lagoon to visit the Canal de los Piratas. While Willy told us about the history of this fascinating place, Vicky prepared fresh fruit and coffee for us. After returning to Yak Lake House, breakfast was included as well, which was a lovely way to finish the morning. We also received all the pictures our guides had taken during the tour — a wonderful souvenir of the experience! Thanks again to Vicky and Willy for taking such good care of us and for making our sunrise SUP tour such a great experience!

About Bacalar
Bacalar is a quiet lakeside town in Quintana Roo, beside a long freshwater lagoon of shifting blues known as the Lake of Seven Colours.
Bacalar sits on the western shore of a lagoon about forty kilometres long in the south of Quintana Roo, close to the border with Belize. The water, shallow over white sand and deeper in places, shades from pale turquoise to deep blue, giving the lagoon its name, the Lake of Seven Colours. The Fort of San Felipe, built in the eighteenth century to guard the lagoon from pirates, stands above the town square and holds a small museum.
