5Two Hours Well Spent
Really kind to accept me for a tour two hours before it began. Preeti was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about her home town and brought the buildings to life. Despite being mid 60s and not very fit I didn't feel rushed and had ample rest stops 😊. I recommend this to anyone who would like to learn a little of the history, culture and religion of the area. Thank you Preeti
5Historic Shimla
Had a wonderful time with Preeti who certainly knows her town and history. Really informative and I spent some time at the lodge at the end. A perfect place to end the tour as it gives you free time to spend as long as you like there.

5Great overview of Shimla
Pritee, the guide, is a Shimla local who really knows her town. The tour provides a great overview of Shimla and its fascinating history as a city created by the British. Pritee happily answered our many questions and gave us some excellent suggestions for our next moves in the area.

About Shimla
Shimla, capital of Himachal Pradesh, is a hill station in the Himalayan foothills, built along a ridge by the British as their summer capital.
Shimla stretches along a ridge at about 2,200 metres in the foothills of the Himalaya and from 1864 served as the summer capital of British India. Colonial buildings in stone and timber still line its slopes: Christ Church, a pale yellow neo-Gothic church overlooking the open space of the Ridge, the Gaiety Theatre, and the Viceregal Lodge, a grey stone mansion in Elizabethan style that is now an institute for advanced study.
Top-ranked sights in Shimla: Mall Road, Jakhu Temple (Jakhoo Temple).
