Itinerary
The starting point of your oenological journey will make you discover very colourful, powerful and harmonious wines and the terroirs on which they are produced. These wines will defy time in your cellar. The Médoc, which extends over 80 km, is a peninsula that takes shape north of the Bordeaux conurbation and ends at the Pointe des Graves. The wine route, which crosses it, is long and winding and gives you time to discover a mosaic of plots, dotted with castles of very different styles, sometimes flamboyant, sometimes romantic, sometimes austere. You will be amazed by this mythical road.
Dauzac is the first Château that borders the mythical Route des Châteaux. Fifth Cru Classified as Margaux. It was his steward who invented the "Bordeaux porridge", made from copper sulphate and water. Still in use today, this treatment is one of the few authorized in organic farming. A tasting of the wines of the property will be offered at the end of the visit. Example of a visit. The castles visited may differ, depending on your wishes and their availability for visits. Tours and tasting fees are not included in the tour and are at your expense.
Second Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien. Until the 19th century, the Léoville estate was one of the largest and oldest wineries in the Médoc. The vineyard stretched from Château Beychevelle to Château Latour. Divided into three parts, the Châteaux Léoville Las Cases, Léoville Barton and Léoville Poyferré survive today. The Castle Guide will share with you the secrets of vine work, the different techniques used for winemaking and the methods of maturing in oak barrels. At the end of the tour you will taste the wines of the estate. Example of a visit. The castles visited may differ, depending on your wishes and their availability for visits. Tours and tasting fees are not included in the tour and are at your expense.
A Master Restaurateur, which offers one of the best tables in the region. Not stopping there would be a mistake. Restaurant given as an example. The chosen restaurant may differ, depending on your wishes, the opening days of the restaurant and its availability. The meal is not included in the tour.
The fourth Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Estèphe, its canary yellow chartreuse is known throughout the world. Its history dating back to the 17th century was eventful, written today in an alliance of modernity, for the technical installations and ancestral traditions of the production methods inherited from the illustrious predecessors at the head of the estate. Example of a visit. The castles visited may differ, depending on your wishes and their availability for visits. Tours and tasting fees are not included in the tour and are at your expense.

About Bordeaux
Bordeaux, on the Garonne in south-west France, is a stone-fronted port city and the centre of one of the world's great wine regions.
The pale limestone façades of the eighteenth century give Bordeaux an elegant, even look, and the curve of the Garonne, the Port of the Moon, is part of its UNESCO listing. Place de la Bourse faces the river, and the Miroir d'eau, a shallow reflecting pool, mirrors it. The Grand Théâtre, Saint-André Cathedral with its separate Pey-Berland tower, and the long pedestrian Rue Sainte-Catherine make up the centre.
Top-ranked sights in Bordeaux: Place de la Bourse (Place Royale), Porte Cailhau, Grosse Cloche.
