  • 3A bit underwhelming

Well organised trip but the description is a bit misleading. The extra cost for the entry ticket includes the boat and “train” ride. The guided walk was very rushed with no information shared about the park itself. Having a guide seemed a bit pointless.

  • 4Stunning national park

Lovely day although a little long and limited options for food. The national park is stunning and the truck and boat rides meant we were able to cover a lot of ground.

  • 4Great overall experience,...

Great overall experience, just a few tips that might be helpful for a few. First, comfortable, clean bus, nice quick stop on the way for refreshments, very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Full, fun day worth every penny and minute. Just note, the office of the touring company, one of two places you can use as the meeting destination, is conveniently located in Old Town, but you'll want GPS to find it. Once there, an employee will walk you and anyone else who booked the tour 15-20 minutes to where the bus is actually parked. Be prepared to wait a little longer for others to arrive to the bus before heading out. On our tour, we were told upon arrival by a guide that there would be options for two different sets of hikes, but then a new guide arrived and said we would all do the same hikes. This was fine by me, but if you don't want to hike as much, just keep this in mind. Lastly, be prepared to possibly wait in line to board the boat and again to board the tram. This is not the tour company's issue...it's just how it might be based on how many people are also visiting that day. Once you return, just be prepared to figure out your own way back from the bus. Again, it's about another 15-20 minute walk back to where the Old Town meeting spot.

  • 5Hiking the park

The guide had a lot of information about the park and kept us moving so we could see everything. We really enjoyed the experience!

  • 3Start at the end

Lots of small waterfalls. The water colour is spectacular. Going to the largest waterfall at the end would be sufficient

  • 3Lakes amazing, tour guide poor

Plitvice lakes are amazing. The guided tour was most disappointing and was done via WhatsApp with instructions where to go. There was no information on the site, the history or anything. Amazing scenery but tour guide disappointing

About Zadar

Zadar, on Croatia's Dalmatian coast, is an old Roman and Venetian town on a peninsula, known for its sea organ and the sunsets beside it.

The old town of Zadar sits on a narrow peninsula, bordered by Venetian walls and the Land Gate. The remains of a Roman forum lie beside the round church of St Donatus, a ninth-century building that is the best-known landmark. Kalelarga, the main pedestrian street, follows the line of the Roman main street, with shops and cafés, and the cathedral of St Anastasia stands nearby.

Top-ranked sights in Zadar: Sea Organ (Morske Orgulje), Zadar Roman Forum, Church of St. Donatus.
