About Pattaya
Pattaya is a Thai beach resort south-east of Bangkok, with a long bay, offshore islands, temples, gardens and a neon nightlife strip.
Pattaya grew from a fishing village into one of Thailand's largest beach resorts, spread along a curving bay with a promenade and a pier. The beach is busy, jet-skis and boats cross the water, and the evening brings crowds to Walking Street, a neon-lit strip of bars, restaurants and live music. Jomtien Beach, a few kilometres south, is calmer.
