Itinerary
Built on the left bank since the 12th century, the Saint-Joseph Chapel is immediately recognized by its turquoise dome, which has become one of the visual landmarks of the banks of the Garonne. Formerly linked to Saint-Cyprien’s hospitable history, it now offers an ideal setting to understand the evolution of the city.
Why is Toulouse nicknamed "the Pink City"? This is where the answer lies.
Founded in the 12th century, the Inn Saint-Jacques welcomed travelers, the needy and pilgrims on the Way to Saint-Jacques. Its long brick facade and its location facing the Garonne make it a major historical landmark.
A guinguette with an amazing history. A stopover that will delight fans of anecdotes.
The Pont-Neuf is one of Toulouse’s most emblematic monuments: a masterpiece of Renaissance engineering, designed to withstand the mighty floods of the Garonne.
Today, the École des Beaux-Arts occupies a site marked by a strong industrial history. Before hosting the arts, the building housed the Toulouse Tobacco Factory, installed here at the beginning of the 19th century.
Small square in the heart of old Toulouse, the Place de la Trinité mixes historical charm and neighborhood atmosphere. Built in the 19th century, it retains an elegant architecture and a central fountain that recalls its role as a point of life in the commercial district.
The Saint-Étienne district is one of the most elegant in Toulouse. Around its cathedral, the ancient streets reveal mansions and refined facades. A peaceful atmosphere, a little village air.
In direct extension of the Cathedral of Saint-Étienne, the rue Croix-Baragnon (old thoroughfare, drawn since the Middle Ages), invites you to a real architectural walk.

About Toulouse
Toulouse is the Pink City of south-west France, built of rose-red brick, with a great Romanesque basilica, a canal and a long aerospace history.
Toulouse earns its nickname, la ville rose, from the warm brick of its buildings, which glows in the evening light along the Garonne. The Basilica of Saint-Sernin, a Romanesque church begun in the eleventh century and a stage on the pilgrim road to Santiago, is one of the largest surviving Romanesque churches in Europe. The Capitole, the city hall, faces a broad square lined with cafés, and the Jacobins convent has a famous column that fans out like a palm tree.
Top-ranked sights in Toulouse: St. Sernin Basilica (Basilique Saint-Sernin) , Toulouse Cathedral (Cathedrale St-Etienne), Place du Capitole.
