5Castle Tour and Wine Taste
I found Henry Cottam on the website and he was truly the very best. Without him our trip to Heidelberg would feel so lost. He was great help and an amazing man. He was overly communicative before and during the tour and we truly appreciated him as a group.
4Lovely guide! Highly recommend. The experience of walking around Heidelberg with Henry made our visit more memorable
We really enjoyed the experience and Henry takes his lead from his guests. We also enjoyed wine tasting in the castle! The history and fun facts Henry provided added to our Heidelberg experience
2Unfortunately we were the...
Unfortunately we were the only two people on this tour and while our tour guide, Henry, did take us to the castle and to the location of the wine tasting, he never gave us a walking tour of Heidelberg with background information of the history and various landmarks.
5Great way to spend the day with a local and history!
Henry was a delight from the first impression (reaching out via what’s app to confirm) to checking in after our trip was done! We loved the history side of the tour and he brought along graphics to make it come to life! It was a great afternoon that included wine tasting that was a great highlight! Recommend his tours AA++
5Must see with Henry!
Really Enjoyed our tour with Henry! He was fun, engaging, and accommodating. It was a great afternoon.
2Tour operator was amazing but disappointed in the wine tasting
Hi there, Bela was amazing however we were supposed to go to the castle winery we ended up going to a pub where we waited a significant amount of time and then they brought 5 full glasses of wine each and could only drink one glass. I would have purchased the lower price one for 2 glasses. We also did find out we could have had wine at the castle. Can I respectfully ask you refund the higher priced tour and just charge us for the 2 lower priced tour I believe at 134 Euros. Thanks for your consideration. Susan

About Heidelberg
Heidelberg is a university town on the Neckar in south-west Germany, with a ruined red-sandstone castle, an old stone bridge and a long main street.
Heidelberg sits where the Neckar leaves its wooded valley and enters the Rhine plain in Baden-Württemberg. The castle above the old town, built in red sandstone and left half ruined by French armies in the 1690s and a lightning strike in 1764, holds the Great Tun, a barrel that can hold over 200,000 litres of wine. The Old Bridge, with its twin-towered gate, crosses the river, and the Hauptstrasse runs for over a kilometre through the pedestrian old town.
Top-ranked sights in Heidelberg: Heidelberg Old Town (Altstadt), Karl-Theodor-Bridge (Alte Brucke), Market Square (Marktplatz).
