Itinerary
The Sanctuary of Fátima, formally titled by the Catholic Church as Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima, is a Marian sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of Fátima, located in the place of Cova da Iria, in the city of Fátima, municipality of Ourém, in Portugal .
This Basilica is the most recent construction of the Sanctuary of Fátima complex, being dedicated to the cult of the Holy Trinity.
The Capelinha das Apparições is a chapel located in Cova da Iria, in Fátima, within the Sanctuary of Fátima, in Portugal.
It was in the small village of Aljustrel, located about 2 km from the sanctuary of Fátima, that the three visionaries of Fátima were born – Lúcia and her cousins Francisco and Jacinta who shared the shepherding tasks with her. Very similar in design and simplicity, the single-story houses that the little shepherds lived in can be visited. The house where the brothers Jacinta and Francisco lived was built in 1888 and is located about 200 meters from their cousin Lúcia's house, dated 1885. Next to the latter is the Aljustrel House-Museum, which displays implements agricultural items, kitchen utensils, clothes and furniture showing visitors what the daily life of these mountain populations was like at the beginning of the 20th century. About Lisbon
Lisbon spills down its hills to the Tagus estuary, a city of tiled façades, rattling yellow trams, viewpoint terraces and late, unhurried dinners.
The old quarters hold most of the charm. Alfama's tangle of lanes climbs to São Jorge Castle and echoes with fado in the evening, the Baixa's orderly grid runs down to the vast Praça do Comércio on the river, and Bairro Alto and Chiado mix bookshops and cafés by day with bars by night. Viewpoints such as Santa Luzia and Senhora do Monte frame red rooftops and shining water.
Top-ranked sights in Lisbon: Commerce Square (Praça do Comércio), Pena National Palace (Palacio Nacional da Pena), Alfama.
