About Tinerhir

Tinerhir is an oasis town in south-eastern Morocco at the foot of the High Atlas, beside the Todra Gorge and a long palm grove.

Tinerhir lies in south-eastern Morocco, where the Todra river leaves the High Atlas and waters a green palm grove that runs for several kilometres through the dry landscape. Mud-brick villages and kasbahs stand among the date palms, olive and almond trees and small terraced fields. The town is a market centre for the Amazigh communities of the valleys, and its old quarter and kasbah are built of earth.
