Itinerary
It is a place with fantastic views, where you can take some beautiful pictures. The guide will explain the history of the Douro and the wines.
It will be in Pinhão where we will have the boat cruise. This place is the heart of the Valley. The boat will take us to a area that we only have access by boat. Is a fantastic experience.
We will visit the famous Railway station in Pinhão with beautiful tiles painted by hand. The guide will explain all the tiles.
Peso da Regua is the most important city in Douro region. Many years ago, most of the boats carrying the wine barrels to Porto departed from here.
It´s time to return to Porto. The comfortable, air-conditioned luxury car will provide a few minutes of rest for those who can't resist getting a nap while traveling:)

5Fantastic Experience
Our guide was there a few minutes early and met us outside our hotel. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, pointing out different facts and points of interest while we made our way to the Douro Valley. We stopped at a gorgeous overlook, and he explained about the olive trees. We stopped at various points of interest in Pinhão and took our cruise from there. The cruise was very relaxing and there was a pleasant breeze. The two estates that we visited held nice tours. The tastings included a nice variety and lunch was delicious. We booked a wine tour and thoroughly enjoyed the history lesson that came with it.
5Pedro is the best time for friends and family!
Pedro was the absolute best tour guide. We had the most fun day he was so informative and took the best photos and care of us. Would never come back to Porto without Pedro he is the highlight of our trip.

Excellent experience with Pedro as our guide! HIGHLY recommend. The wineries we visited were top-notch and we discovered some tasty varieties that we didn't know previously. The private boat tour for our group of four was unparalleled in beauty and Pedro's knowledge of the area was unmatched. We would return to this area -- could have stayed a week!

5Fantastic tour and guide
Absolutely fantastic day with Miguel exploring the Duoro Valley. Everything was top class and could not have been better. Miguel was incredibly friendly and full of interesting info and fun facts. The boat tour, wineries and lunch were all simply amazing and we had such a wonderful day. Obrigada Miguel- we cannot recommend this highly enough.

About Pinhão
Pinhão is a small river village in Portugal's Douro Valley, at the heart of the terraced port-wine vineyards, with a railway station covered in blue tiles.
Pinhão sits on the north bank of the Douro river in northern Portugal, where the steep valley sides are cut into terraces of vines. This is the heart of the Alto Douro Wine Region, where port is made, first marked out as a wine area in the eighteenth century and now listed by UNESCO. The railway station is covered with panels of blue-and-white azulejo tiles showing the grape harvest and local scenes, and trains of the Douro line run along the river.
