Not at all like the description. Lacked audio guide, wasn’t the boat described and zero clear instructions.
1Very deceiving!! It is not what is advertised. I don’t recommend this excursion at all!!
What is advertised is NOT you think!!!! We thought we were going on a 2.5 hr cruise through the Douro valley with a stop at the Quinta das Carvalhos for wine tasting. When we arrived we were told that this 2.5 cruise doesn’t exist. It was a quick 50 min ride up and down the river. We were told that we had to go to another place for a wine tasting that wasn’t related to the cruise company. We had a person in our party who couldn’t walk to the next stop so we weren’t able to do this trip. The cruise company was not helpful at all. They actually told us that this happens often for people booking this trip via TripAdvisor. DO NOT BUY THIS EXERCURSION IF YOU WANT A NICE RELAXING EXPERIENCE IN THE DOURO VALLEY!

About Pinhão
Pinhão is a small river village in Portugal's Douro Valley, at the heart of the terraced port-wine vineyards, with a railway station covered in blue tiles.
Pinhão sits on the north bank of the Douro river in northern Portugal, where the steep valley sides are cut into terraces of vines. This is the heart of the Alto Douro Wine Region, where port is made, first marked out as a wine area in the eighteenth century and now listed by UNESCO. The railway station is covered with panels of blue-and-white azulejo tiles showing the grape harvest and local scenes, and trains of the Douro line run along the river.
