About Cancun
Cancun pairs a long ribbon of white-sand beaches and turquoise Caribbean water with Maya ruins, cenotes and islands all within easy reach.
The Hotel Zone curves along a narrow strip of land between the Caribbean and the Nichupté Lagoon, lined with resorts and beaches such as Playa Delfines, where the sand is powder-soft and the sea glows in every shade of blue. Downtown Cancun, on the mainland, is where locals eat and shop, with taquerías and evening stalls around Parque de las Palapas.
Top-ranked sights in Cancun: Chichen Itza, Tulum Archeological Site, Isla Mujeres.
