Itinerary
Cusco City is not only the ancient capital of the Incas, but also the most popular tourist destination in South America. You will get picked up at your hotel in the center of Cusco between 7:30am and 8:00am, to begin the city tour at Qorikancha; the temple of the sun, which was the most important religious center of the Incas, where ancient temples are located and include history of the Spanish conquest and the Inca society.
It will take you to the Cathedral located on Plaza de Armas in Cusco, which is a very important place for the locals. There you will find very important paintings, art and history.
Thereafter we will take you to the surrounding mountain of Cusco to the archaeological site of Tambomachay, which is an intelligent irrigation center and water temple of the Incas.
Next stop will be the archaeological site of Puka Pukara, which worked as a military base and administrative center of the Incas.
Thereafter we will stop at the archaeological site of Qenqo, which was a holy site where sacrifices, rituals and mummifications took place. There we will take a walk through its beautiful rock constructions and go through its small tunnel.
At last we will stop at the amazing Sacsayhauman, which the Incas used as sacred ceremonial site, when they celebrated the sun festival, and a religious place in honor of their gods. It also became the battlefield between the Incas and the Spaniards under the conquest. Once we finish the tour you will be dropped off in the center of Cusco around 2:30pm.

About Cusco
Cusco, the old Inca capital high in the Peruvian Andes, blends massive stone walls with colonial churches and is the gateway to Machu Picchu.
The Plaza de Armas is the heart of the city, framed by the cathedral and the Jesuit church of La Compañía. Inca stonework survives throughout the centre, most famously at the Qorikancha, the sun temple on which the Spanish built a monastery, and in the twelve-angled stone on Hatun Rumiyoc street. San Blas, the artisans' quarter, climbs steeply with workshops and cafés.
Top-ranked sights in Cusco: Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo Ruins.
