Itinerary
Discover Cenote Hubiku, a semi-open cenote surrounded by the Yucatan jungle. Its clear waters, limestone formations, and large circular opening create a distinctive natural setting to explore and enjoy. Take a refreshing swim in the cool waters while looking up at the stalactites and rock formations that surround the cenote. Sunlight enters through the opening above, illuminating the water and creating a unique atmosphere. Cenotes were important to the ancient Maya, serving as sources of fresh water and places connected to their spiritual beliefs. Learn about their connection to Xibalbá, the Maya underworld, while experiencing one of the region’s natural cenotes.
Enjoy some free time in Valladolid, a historic colonial town in Yucatán. Take a walk through the main square and admire San Servacio Church, one of the town’s best-known landmarks, while taking in the local atmosphere. You’ll also have the opportunity to browse local handicrafts and explore the colorful streets before continuing with the tour.
As the sun sets, experience Chichén Itzá after dark during the Nights of Kukulkan evening program. Walk through the archaeological site and learn about the history, astronomy, and mythology of the ancient Maya. The experience culminates with a sound-and-light show projected onto the Kukulkan Pyramid, using lights, images, and narration to present stories and elements of Maya culture. Seeing the archaeological site illuminated at night offers a different perspective on one of Yucatán’s most important Maya sites. The evening setting and Kukulkan sound-and-light show make this a different way to experience Chichén Itzá.
