  • 1Different location - bad experience

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience despite the beautiful pictures and good reviews. We were picked up and brought to a completely different adress. The location was inside, we did not get to see any sunset nor mountain view. The 'guide' was very unenthousiastic and not very interested. We did not have a choice of menu, we did not learn how to make traditional mint tea (as was all promised on tripadvisor). In summary it was a completely different experience than promised, and honestly a very disappointing one. I imagine that the original cooking class location somehow wasn't available after all and they just asked a friend to take over; which was thus handled very unprofessionally.

  • 5Authentic cooking experience on a rooftop in Chefchaouen

Our class with Ibrahim was a one-of-kind experience. The setting was very authentic, with stunning views while we cooked and then dined. Ibrahim is a very good teacher, and was very patient with us. The recipes were easy to follow, and the resulting food was delicious and plentiful. We highly recommend this authentic Chefchaouen experience.

  • 5Exceptional experience

Wow! I just had the best afternoon doing a private cooking class with my mom. It was incredible. I am so glad I booked a private class, it was so much more than group classes I have done in the past. This was so special and i think it is one of those memories that I will truly treasure as the years go by. We were picked up from our riad - as this was private class, they let us pick the time. The instruction was fabulous. The view from the roof top was breathtaking. Cooking took approximately four hours, so it was a good portion of the day. The meal was super healthy and will be easy to replicate at home. We made a chicken and a beef tagine, an eggplant salad, a carrot dish, a garden salad and a fruit dessert. This was a 10/10 experience and i highly recommend it.

  • 5An amazing life experience! Best Tagine we’ve ever made.

Ibrahim made our trip unforgettable. His hospitality and openness really put us at ease during the cooking class. The tagine was absolutely delicious, we’ve truly never eaten anything so good. All the spices perfectly blend in togheter. Ibrahim was also incredibly attentive and took all our wishes into account. We highly recommend this cooking class if you’re looking for a special and romantic experience in Chefchaouen.

About Chefchaouen

Chefchaouen is a mountain town in northern Morocco whose old medina is washed in blue, set among the Rif hills with hiking trails nearby.

Chefchaouen was founded in 1471 as a small fortress against Portuguese raids and grew when Muslim and Jewish refugees from Spain settled here. Its old town, the medina, is a maze of steep lanes and houses washed in shades of blue, with painted doors and pots of flowers. The main square, Plaza Uta el-Hammam, is dominated by the red-walled kasbah and the Great Mosque with its octagonal minaret.
