Highlights

More than a boat ride. A journey into the soul of the Portuguese coast. At Magic Escapade, we believe the sea holds memories. Every cliff, every bay, every fortress and lighthouse carries stories that have travelled through centuries. As we sail between Cascais, Lisbon and the Atlantic coastline, we guide you through a voyage where the landscape itself begins to speak. We uncover the origins of Cascais, follow the routes of the Portuguese navigators, recall the Greeks and Romans who once passed through these waters, evoke the era of the Discoveries. Each experience unfolds to the rhythm of the wind and the tides. We don’t follow a rehearsed script; we share stories, curiosities and moments that transform a simple navigation into a memory that stays with you long after you return to shore. Because sailing is more than reaching a destination. It is understanding the sea. It is feeling History. It is experiencing Portugal through the beauty of its coastline.

About Cascais

Cascais is a former fishing village on the Atlantic coast west of Lisbon, with sheltered beaches, a seafront promenade and a royal past.

Cascais lies at the mouth of the Tagus estuary, roughly thirty kilometres west of Lisbon, and began as a fishing village. King Luís I made it the royal summer residence in 1870, and the aristocracy followed, building villas and palaces along the shore. The old centre has patterned stone pavements, a marina and small beaches tucked in the bay, and the Casa das Histórias Paula Rego is a museum of that painter's work in a red building.

Top-ranked sights in Cascais: Boca do Inferno, Marina de Cascais, Museu Condes de Castro Guimarães.
