Highlights
The impressive mountain scenery and the beautiful landscape of the Berchtesgadener Land will definitely fascinate you. A special bus and lift take you up to the Eagle's Nest at an altitude of 1,834m where you will be rewarded with spectacular views. Our guide will give a comprehensive summary of the historical events and answer any questions. Afterwards, we will have a short stop in the town of Berchtesgaden. The return journey via the German alpine road shows you the impressive valleys of Bavaria. In the event of bad weather conditions (fog, ice, snow) which make a trip up to the Eagle's Nest impossible, we offer a longer visit in the documentation center and the town of Berchtesgaden.

Itinerary
We’ll meet at 8:15 a.m. at Sonnenstrasse 1, 80331 Munich. There you’ll find a tour bus marked “Mentor Reisen,” and our friendly driver and guide will welcome you as you check in. We’ll depart at 8:30 a.m. and drive past several Munich landmarks (which the guide will explain) on our way to Eagles Nest/Obersalzberg. Don't forget your passport!!!
Upon arrival at the Obersalzberg parking lot, please proceed with your tour guide to the departure point for the special bus. Once your guide has picked up the skip-the-line tickets for the group, you will take the red special buses up the mountain for about 15 minutes. Upon arrival, walk through the tunnel to the original lift to go directly to the Eagle’s Nest (now a restaurant). On a clear day, you'll have a spectacular view from there. (you are at 1834 m altitude)
After taking the shuttle bus back down to the parking lot, you will have free time until the tour bus departs for the town of Berchtesgaden. During this time, you can have lunch at the "Berggasthof Obersalzberg" (at your own expense) or go directly to the Obersalzberg Documentation Center. The restaurant is located in the terrace hall of the former “General Walker” hotel, making it a historic building on the Obersalzberg.
The Obersalzberg Museum traces the history of Obersalzberg as a center of power during the Nazi era. It is a very interesting exhibition that reopened in 2023 following renovation and expansion. There, you can also tour the bunker complexes from the Nazi era. Admission is included in the price of the special bus tour.
After a short drive, you’ll get off the tour bus in the center of Berchtesgaden. Our experienced tour guide will lead you on a walking tour through the town, pointing out some of the main sights and explaining the history of Berchtesgaden over the course of about 20–30 minutes. After another about 30 minutes of free time in town, all participants will meet back at the bus for the return trip.

4Guide and driver were...
Guide and driver were great. Mist at top of Eagles Nest impaired all visibility. Can't predict the weather
5Don’t miss these amazing views!
Was a rainy/gloomy day but the tour was great. Our tour guide Elizabeth was fantastic and shared so many facts. Eagles nest is small but interesting to see.
5Beautiful day trip
Beautiful and interesting day out. Elisabeth was a great guide and very informative
5Informative and well organized
Gocksell and Elizabeth were amazing guides. The trip was informative and well organized. We even had a special lunch opportunity at the Eagles Nest, despite there being a wedding reception. Would definitely recommend.
5Great Tour
My husband and I had a great time. Our tour guide Maria was so informative the entire trip. I was impressed at how knowledgeable she was with history and the surrounding areas. She was so kind and easy to talk to. I would definitely book this trip again if I had the chance.
4Eagles Nest Honesty.
The weather was rainy, the clouds were low, views were minimal. The tour guide was super knowledgeable, the food at the Eagles Nest parking area was FAST, Hot and delicious. I wished we’d had more time to see the museum and bunker tunnels. We were literally running thru to see some of it. With it being a crappy weather day we only needed 1/2 the time up in the eagles nest. Even on a good day there was too much time alotted. Alot of us were killing time up there. We stopped at the little town, it was quaint. It is actually at the cemetery that Hitlers sister was buried. I believe our tour guide said that. However, the tour giude talked for 5 hrs. At some point you just are not listening anymore. A few breaks from too much information would have been nice. I would recommend it, hope you get better weather.

About Munich
Munich is the Bavarian capital, with a rebuilt old town, beer gardens, royal palaces and the Alps visible on clear days to the south.
Marienplatz, the main square, is overlooked by the neo-Gothic New Town Hall, whose Glockenspiel chimes with mechanical figures, and by the twin onion-domed towers of the Frauenkirche. The Viktualienmarkt close by is a food market with a beer garden. The Residenz, the former home of Bavaria's rulers, has lavish halls and a treasury, and Nymphenburg Palace stands in a park to the west.
Top-ranked sights in Munich: Neuschwanstein Castle, Marienplatz, Odeonsplatz.
