5A Profound Experience at Dachau
Our tour to the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site with Alun was an incredibly moving and unforgettable experience. I honestly didn’t expect the visceral feeling that came over me the moment we walked through the gates and onto the grounds. We’ve visited other significant historical sites and memorials throughout our travels, but nothing could have prepared me for the weight of being at Dachau. As an American, I feel this is such a necessary experience right now. I truly wish every human being could visit a place like Dachau and feel what we felt that day, not only to understand the history, but to reflect on the unimaginable consequences of hatred, dehumanization, and indifference. Alun made the entire experience informative, thoughtful, and incredibly meaningful. He provided historical context while also allowing us the space to process what we were seeing. Having him guide us through the entire journey, from the train to the bus and then through the memorial site, also made the day completely seamless and stress-free. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Munich. It was difficult, emotional, thought-provoking, and absolutely worth doing. Thank you, Alun, for helping us navigate such an important and deeply moving place.

5Alun was an excellent guide.
Alun Evans was an excellent guide. For one thing he was easy to understand. I never had to figure out what he was saying unlike other tour guides on our 14 day trip. He handled the subject matter with care and concern for those he was guiding on the tour. He was easy to follow and kept the group together when warranted. I would highly recommend Alun Evans for any tour!

Alan was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and presented in a respectful way. The small group tour is very appreciated for this tour. The museum really puts everything in perspective.
5Wonderful small group tour of Dachau with Alan
Our guided Dachau tour with Alun was wonderful. He is clear, concise and very informative. It was great to have a tour guide that is organized and punctual and a good speaker. Being in a small group it was easier to maneuver and to hear what was being shared and Alan was great about organizing the tour so that we had time to visit the entire grounds and the museum. Definitely recommend Alun as a guide!

About Munich
Munich is the Bavarian capital, with a rebuilt old town, beer gardens, royal palaces and the Alps visible on clear days to the south.
Marienplatz, the main square, is overlooked by the neo-Gothic New Town Hall, whose Glockenspiel chimes with mechanical figures, and by the twin onion-domed towers of the Frauenkirche. The Viktualienmarkt close by is a food market with a beer garden. The Residenz, the former home of Bavaria's rulers, has lavish halls and a treasury, and Nymphenburg Palace stands in a park to the west.
Top-ranked sights in Munich: Neuschwanstein Castle, Marienplatz, Odeonsplatz.
