5Two Women from Atlanta & Cleveland
Julie, our tour guide and driver was wonderful! She has an excellent knowledge of the Beaujolais wine country. She is friendly and outgoing. I enjoyed talking to her during the tour.
5Great wine tour
Francois was an excellent guide, providing so much information. We really enjoyed the countryside, and of course the wines. Highly recommended tour
5Fun wine tasting in Beaujolais
We had a great time with Amandine who gave us a general overview of Beaujolais area and the wines coming from there. She was personable and knowledgeable. The experience itself was fun as well with some knowledge building and testing combined with wine tasting.
4Nice way to spend half a day
The first winery is a self-learn situation; the second winery is a guided tasting. Both interesting but note that there is no food provided.
5Escape Lyon to the Beaujolais Countryside
It was great to get out of the city of Lyon and into the countryside of Beaujolais. Yan was an excellent driver and provided excellent information while enroute. The visit to the small family vineyard was the highlight.
5Exceptional
It was an amazing day despite disappointing weather. The guide was from the Beaujolais and clearly passionate about her origins and the exceptional wine generated there. We visited 2 vineyards and we made purchases at both. Disappointed that they didn’t ship to the UK. The tour was inclusive and the group lovely all chatting at the end as the wine flowed . First stop vineyard was attached to a chateau and there was an interactive quiz as well as wine consumption which was great fun . The second was a local vineyard the owner lovely and the wine stunning. Highly recommend

About Lyon
Lyon, where the Rhône and Saône meet, is a Roman and Renaissance city of covered passageways, long called the capital of French cooking.
Lyon spreads across two rivers and two hills. On Fourvière hill, the white basilica looks down over the Roman theatres of Lugdunum, once the capital of Gaul, while the Renaissance old town below has narrow streets and covered passageways, the traboules, that silk workers used to carry cloth. The old town and the slopes of Croix-Rousse, the silk weavers' hill, are part of the UNESCO-listed historic site.
Top-ranked sights in Lyon: Old Lyon (Vieux Lyon), Traboules of Lyon, Lyon Cathedral (Cathédrale St-Jean).
