Our first stop offers a stunning panoramic view of the entire Askifou Plateau and the surrounding mountains. This is also the starting point for an optional hike to the Turkish fortifications. Over 150 years old, these fortresses hold great importance for the region and for the local resistance during the Ottoman era.
Visit the private War Museum of Askifou, a unique collection dedicated to World War II, showcasing rare artifacts, uniforms, and photographs that bring local history to life.
Enjoy an authentic Cretan lunch at a traditional mountain taverna, featuring homemade dishes prepared with local ingredients and family recipes. The traditional meal is not included in the tour price, giving you the flexibility to choose and enjoy your preferred local dishes at your own expense.
