  • 5Great Tour!

Thierry was a lovely guide for the region! My fiancée and I enjoyed the wine tasting immensely and I would highly recommend joining for the experience if you’re wanting to sample the local wines in Colmar!! I would have some snacks beforehand to make sure you’re ready for all the lovely wines!

  • 4Beautiful Vineyards & Great Wine Tasting

We enjoyed visiting two excellent vineyards with unique, high-quality wines and knowledgeable guides. The beautiful scenery and tastings were highlights. Our driver was friendly, though a little more guidance around wine purchases would have been helpful. We would have preferred more scenic viewpoints, but overall it was a very enjoyable tour!

  • 5A terrific day in Alsace

Wonderful. Little town of Eguishein was delightful. Winery was great, wine was delicious. Our second stop was a small private winery owned by a lovely winemaker. She sat with us for an hour and offered tastes of everything. We all bought wine, had a lovely day together meeting new friends.

  • 3A little disappointed

I've done a lot of tours including history and wines tours through Viator and similar apps in the past. I've always been happy and never have had a negative review. Unfortunately, I felt like this tour wasn't well coordinated. It felt as though the 4 hours weren't used very well considering the wineries were about 10-20 minutes from Colmar. We got to go up to a couple view points quickly that were okay but had no time in the towns and it all felt rushed. The wineries we visited we visited were great but the tasting offered minimal information and we got very little information about winemaking and history of the area overall. Usually on tours like this the guide talks while you're driving around but he didn't give us any information while driving and didn't seem too interested in our questions. For the price I felt pretty disappointed because we could have easily ubered over to the wineries and not paid as much and had a better experience if it wasn't going to be a full tour with lots of information. We ended up going ourselves to a nearby village another day and doing a wine tasting at a small winery and taking the mini train tour and though that was much better.

  • 41/2 day wine tour - Alsace

Overall the excursion was a good experience and our guide Francesco was excellent. The first winery we experienced (Schoenheitz VINS D'ALSACE ÉCHELLE DE SUCROSITÉ DES VINS) had an amazing sommelier by the name of Rowan who offered our group some very interesting insights on the winery’s history and the region’s contribution to wine making. The second stop was in Egusheim which is an amazing and scenic village in terms of its architecture and history. Unfortunately, the wine tasting was done in a retail like manner that seemed very impersonal and rushed.

  • 4Beautiful countryside

The best part of the tour was riding through the beautiful villages. There was a lot of wine tasting, more than I could handle.

About Colmar

Colmar, in Alsace, is a half-timbered wine town of flower-lined canals and pastel houses, set between the Vosges mountains and the Rhine.

Colmar's old town is a compact maze of half-timbered houses with steep gables, painted in blues, pinks and ochres, around the Church of St Martin. The Maison des Têtes, covered in carved faces, and the Pfister House are among the finest. In Petite Venise, flower-hung houses stand along the Lauch river, and flat-bottomed boats glide beneath the bridges. Auguste Bartholdi, the sculptor of the Statue of Liberty, was born in Colmar.

Top-ranked sights in Colmar: Little Venice (Petite Venise), Unterlinden Museum (Musee Unterlinden), St. Martin's Church (Eglise St-Martin).
