2-Day Cacao Tour in Cusco Jungle – Learn & Harvest with Experts
- 48 hours
- Free cancellation up to 24h before
- 2 languages
- Instant confirmation
Highlights
This tour is more special than the others because the farmer you will visit is a confirmed agronomic engineer that spent all his life studying fruits and has perfected his cocoa by modifying the genes of his fruits in order to combine the flavor of the Chuncho and increasing the size of it. He is also one of the only farmers to do all the processes himself and selling his own chocolate past. During the tour, you will discover a Peruvian province (La Convencion) in the mountainous jungle that tourists rarely visit. Afterwards, you will learn and experience for yourself the different steps of making a product that you frequently consume: chocolate. As a family, couple or small group, accompanied by the farmers, participate in all the traditional stages of cocoa production, from picking to tasting.

About Cusco
Cusco, the old Inca capital high in the Peruvian Andes, blends massive stone walls with colonial churches and is the gateway to Machu Picchu.
The Plaza de Armas is the heart of the city, framed by the cathedral and the Jesuit church of La Compañía. Inca stonework survives throughout the centre, most famously at the Qorikancha, the sun temple on which the Spanish built a monastery, and in the twelve-angled stone on Hatun Rumiyoc street. San Blas, the artisans' quarter, climbs steeply with workshops and cafés.
Top-ranked sights in Cusco: Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo Ruins.
