Experience the best of Todos Santos

Todos Santos stands on the Pacific side of Baja California Sur, north of Los Cabos, close to the Tropic of Cancer. It began as a mission settlement in 1723, and sugar cane once filled the oasis that surrounds it. The town now keeps brightly painted colonial buildings, a tree-shaded plaza and a mission church, along with art galleries and studios on its quiet streets.

Playa Los Cerritos, a wide beach south of town, is known for surfing, and whales pass offshore from winter into early spring. Inland, the Sierra de la Laguna mountains rise above desert, with oak and pine forest at their top. The village of Pescadero lies along the coast, and the beaches around Cabo San Lucas are not far south. The town is a designated Pueblo Mágico.

Farms in the oasis grow mangoes, papayas, chillies and herbs, and organic produce reaches the town's restaurants. Fish tacos, oysters and grilled lobster are the dishes of the coast. Winters are mild and dry, summers are hot, and storms may reach the coast in early autumn.
