Highlights

This tour is meant to show you what our Island Barbecue is all about! We will start by going to the local market and get everything needed for our lunch, which provides us the chance of getting your favorite foods and drinks! The local market gives us the opportunity to choose from a variety of meats, fishes and vegetables that we can bring to our barbecue. After we are all set and done with both food and drinks, we will choose the best outdoor location, according to both the weather and the day (holidays and weekends are very busy), and we'll set camp and start cooking! Everything on this activity is included in terms of equipment and both the foods and drinks are also included in the price, as long as approved by our tour guide, which will also be cooking for you! About Angra do Heroísmo

Angra do Heroísmo is the old stone town of Terceira island in the Azores, a UNESCO-listed port of colourful houses, churches and a fortified headland.

Angra do Heroísmo, on the south coast of Terceira island in the Azores, was a key stop for ships sailing between Europe, Africa, India and the Americas from the fifteenth century. Its old town, a grid of cobbled streets lined with whitewashed and pastel houses trimmed in dark volcanic stone, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town was rebuilt after an earthquake in 1980 and kept its old shape. The Sé Cathedral and the Jardim Duque da Terceira are at its heart.
