5Great wine day out at the Hunter
Had a lovely day with David P, our knowledgable and friendly guide. He made everyone in the tour feel comfortable and had great stories of Sydney and the Hunter along the way. We had four stops, not including the hop off to see the kangaroos. First one was with Oakvale Estate where Aidan was a great host who took us through each wine and the history of the winery. Second one was a lunch stop at Bimbadgen where we had pizza. We had a gin tasting which broke up the wines along the day - nothing special but a good addition. We then had a cheese and wine pairing tasting with winemaker/owner Declan at McCaffrey's. Lovely bloke and clearly passionate about his business. Ended the day with the Wine Lab where we had their wines with chocolates. | like that they are trying to do different things with their wines. All in all, a really enjoyable day and highly recommended - whether you are a casual drinker or a wine buff. Don't hesitate to book on a weekday - you may well avoid the crowds and have a more personalised service.

5Remarkable Wine tour
Dave is very knowledgeable about the winery and the history of Hunter Village, picked 3 charming winery and one Gin distillery. Not to mention he prepared snacks and water for us!
5Touring the Hunter Valley in a relaxed, fun. and safe atmosphere
Usually, tours are a bit stressful for me but Dave's tour to the Hunter Valley Australia was relaxed and actually quite fun. Our tour guide, Dave, was full of good information throughout the entire tour and he also drove very well. There wasn't a moment on this tour that I felt hungry, just stopped at servo to get coffee and I was good. The tour thoughtfully provides water and pretzels firs thing in the morning! Toward the end of the tour some very joyous and friendly young man approached us hoping to keep so e of the boys on the tour to party with him, but Dave handled it very well and we all had a laugh about it when we had left the last vineyard. My daughter and I had a wonderful time and highly encourage everyone who visits Australia to book this tour. Its worth the day we spent!

About Hunter Valley
The Hunter Valley is a New South Wales wine region of vineyards, horse studs and low ranges, a couple of hours' drive north of Sydney.
The valley follows the Hunter River inland from Newcastle, with the main wine district around Pokolbin and the town of Cessnock at its gateway. Vines have grown here since the 1820s, which makes it one of Australia's oldest wine regions, and semillon whites and shiraz reds are its best-known bottles. Many cellar doors sit among gum trees and lawns, with long views across the rows.
