Highlights
Shanghai’s history of migration has made it China’s largest and most diverse city. Long-time locals have called this place home since it was a sleepy fishing village, yet skyscraper-studded business districts have attracted plenty of outsiders who keep Shanghai at the forefront of global trends. What does it all mean? It can be difficult to discern the good from the great in a city with over 8000 coffee shops and a plethora of eateries offering flavors from every corner of China and beyond. But fear not, for we’ve spent decades eating (and sipping) our way through the city, and we’ve got the best lined up for you – all tucked away in the charming streets of old-Shanghai.

5Fantastic tour must do in shanghai!
Max gave us a true local experience. He was very enthusiastic and took us all unique places which is difficult to know as a tourist. He is a good story teller too. I really enjoyed the food and dog cafe was the best. Max seemed very nice and a humble person. I wish him well
5Big and best breakfast tour in Shanghai.
We had such a fun time with our fabulous guide Weijia. She was super informative, really lovely and took us to some fantastic spots that we would never have visited. There was plenty of stops (and plenty of food - do not eat the day before your tour!) We tried the best local breakfast food, and some awesome (and different!) coffees, as well as learning a lot about Shanghai and local foods of all sorts. I wish I had of booked the French Concession tour as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

About Shanghai
Shanghai is China's dazzling financial city on the Huangpu River, where a colonial-era waterfront faces a futuristic skyline and old lanes hide teahouses.
The Bund, a riverside promenade lined with grand banks and hotels from the early twentieth century, faces the towers of Pudong across the water, among them the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Jin Mao Tower and the twisting Shanghai Tower. The view is at its most dramatic after dark, when both banks light up and river boats glide between them.
Top-ranked sights in Shanghai: The Bund (Waitan), Yu Garden (Yuyuan), Shanghai French Concession.
