5By Far the Best Food Tour in Bar Harbor
This was an outstanding way to savor the 'best' flavors of Bar Harbor. We had SO MUCH food, you have to arrive hungry! The added highlight was our tour guide, David. He is a local resident and has a wealth of knowledge of Bar Harbor's history. We learned as much as we ate!. We have done several walking/eating tours through Viator on other travels, but this was by far the best we have enjoyed thus far. be sure to Book EARLY to ensure you get a spot in the group!
5One of our best food tours ever!
The tour was fantastic! Lots of Bar Harbor history and a lot of food! Enough to count as a full meal (or maybe two!)
5Go Hungry, you will get lots to eat.
My friends and I took a walking food tour in Vancouver and loved it. This tour outshined that one which we didn’t think possible. We had crab cakes and chowder and vinegar and oil tastings and lobster rolls and ice cream. Our guide Claire, walked us around Bar Harbor and gave us history of all the places we walked. It was just the amount of strolling and eating with the emphasis on the eating part. You will be full so go hungry.
5Culinary walking tour
David was very knowledgeable and personable. The food was great! Had a blueberry donut, crab cakes, clam Chowder, lobster roll and ended with ice cream!
5Excellent tour guide, ...
Excellent tour guide, very in formational and knowledgeable. Great choices on restaurants and Maine food. Definitely would recommend it!!
5Excellent Foodie Tour of Bar Harbor.
My wife and I took the Savor Bar Harbor Culinary Walking tour with our guide, Charlie. He took us around town along the shore path, along Main and West street before returning to our originating meeting point at Village Green. He provided lots of interesting information about Maine, Bar Harbor, lobster fishing and the restaurants and things to do in the area. He was also very accommodating to our needs for gluten free options. All in all, it was a most enjoyable way to see Bar Harbor and enjoy its cuisine. Would highly recommend this tour for foodies visiting Bar Harbor.

About Bar Harbor
Bar Harbor is a coastal town on Mount Desert Island in Maine and the gateway to Acadia National Park, with granite peaks, rocky shores and lobster boats.
Bar Harbor sits on the north-east shore of Mount Desert Island on the coast of Maine, facing Frenchman Bay and a scatter of small islands. It grew as a summer retreat in the nineteenth century, when wealthy families built large seaside cottages here, and a fire in 1947 destroyed many of those houses. The Shore Path runs along the waterfront, and at low tide a sandbar leads out to Bar Island.
