5Great Day in Acadia!
Our 6 hour tour through Acadia was AMAZING! Our tour guide, Caleb, did a fantastic job! He arrived early, gave a us call that he arrived, and greeted us with a a friendly "good morning"! We were off to Acadia where we thoroughly enjoyed the day seeing all the sights that we read about! Caleb expertly navigated us in and out of the sights with great ease and know-how. His knowledge of the area and his expertise were certainly appreciated. We could have never done this on our own! It was a great day in a beautiful USA treasure. Thank you Caleb! (And a special thanks to our travel agent for putting it together!) One more thing...The tour included a stop at a local restaurant for lunch. We had the very best lobster roll ever!!

5Private island tour
This gives you an excellent overview of the park and the surrounding communities. We could avoid the hassle of parking and getting permits ourselves . Our guide Pete was very congenial and informative and took us to a great place for lobster rolls.
5Great way to tour Acadia

5Productive way to tour Acadia
This tour is a productive was to tour all of the desired sites in Acadia and provides a great overview of the entire Bar Harbor area. Our guide Caleb grew up in the area and was extremely knowledgeable about the entire history of the area. You will waste time trying to navigate around the park and seeing the important sites on your own as it can be crowded and up to 20-30+ cars can be lined up waiting for parking spot. Our guide was able to drop us off and allow us to spend time necessary time at each site within the park and pick us while cars were still waiting in line. He was flexible in adjusting our schedule as needed to make the most use of our day.

About Bar Harbor
Bar Harbor is a coastal town on Mount Desert Island in Maine and the gateway to Acadia National Park, with granite peaks, rocky shores and lobster boats.
Bar Harbor sits on the north-east shore of Mount Desert Island on the coast of Maine, facing Frenchman Bay and a scatter of small islands. It grew as a summer retreat in the nineteenth century, when wealthy families built large seaside cottages here, and a fire in 1947 destroyed many of those houses. The Shore Path runs along the waterfront, and at low tide a sandbar leads out to Bar Island.
Top-ranked sights in Bar Harbor: Acadia National Park, Village Green, Criterion Theater.
