Itinerary

  1. On this trip, you will witness the clean Norwegian lakes and nature in all their splendor! The trip begins at our tour center in downtown Oslo. From there, we will hop on a train to Snippen Station. This is a scenic train ride, so don’t forget to capture the stunning views! Once we arrive, we will hike up to a tall hill, where some fun and light climbing is required. The reward for your efforts is a breathtaking panoramic view: from the cityscape of Oslo to the shimmering waters of the Oslo Fjord, and the vast, lush countryside and forests that stretch as far as the eye can see.

  2. After soaking in the views, we’ll make our way down to the tranquil shores of Maridalsvannet, Oslo’s largest lake, surrounded by serene forests and pristine nature. Maridalsvannet, or Lake Maridal, is the largest lake in Oslo and serves as the city’s main drinking water supply. The lake’s clear waters flow all the way down the Akerselva River, through the center of Oslo, and into the Oslo Fjord. After exploring this area, we will make the journey back to central Oslo - where we started, but with memories that will last a lifetime!

About Oslo

Oslo is Norway's capital at the head of the Oslofjord, a green city of sculpture, Viking ships, polar-ship museums, an opera house and forests for skiing.

Oslo sits at the head of the Oslofjord, surrounded by forested hills and dotted with islands, and it is one of Europe's greenest capitals. The waterfront has the Opera House, a white marble building with a sloping roof that visitors can walk on, and Akershus Fortress, a medieval castle above the harbour. City Hall, a brick building with large murals, is where the Nobel Peace Prize is presented each December.

Top-ranked sights in Oslo: Akershus Castle (Akershus Slott), Oslo Royal Palace (Kongelige Slott), Oslo City Hall (Radhuset).
