Itinerary
The day begins with morning pickup and check-in as travelers board the shared transportation in Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya. Once the group is ready, the route heads toward Chichen Itza, opening the experience with the excitement of traveling from the Caribbean side of Mexico into the cultural heart of Yucatán. This first part of the tour sets the tone for a full day filled with ancient history, cenote waters, regional flavors, and colonial scenery.
Before reaching Chichen Itza, the route may include a brief stop near points of interest close to the archaeological area. Once at the site, travelers will walk with the guides toward the main entrance and begin the historical highlight of the day. Inside Chichen Itza, guests will enjoy approximately 1 hour with a guide, learning about the city’s architecture, myths, cultural meaning, and the role this ancient Maya city played during its most important period. After the guided visit, travelers will have about 1 hour of free time to explore independently, take photos, visit souvenir areas, or enjoy the atmosphere of this world-famous landmark.
The experience continues with a visit to Suytun Cenote, one of the most recognized cenotes in the region. Cenotes were meaningful natural formations for the ancient Maya, often connected with sacred beliefs and the underground world. At Suytun, travelers will have time to enjoy the cool, clear waters and admire a unique natural setting that brings a refreshing change after the archaeological visit. This stop adds a beautiful and scenic moment to the day before continuing toward the next cenote experience.
The tour also includes a visit to Ik Kil Cenote, an internationally known natural site surrounded by impressive rock walls, hanging vegetation, and a powerful connection with nature. During this stop, travelers will have approximately 45 minutes to swim and enjoy the cenote’s refreshing waters. Near the cenote, guests will also enjoy a buffet lunch with regional dishes and traditional Mexican flavors. This is the moment to recharge, taste local food, and prepare for the final cultural stop of the route.
The final visit takes place in Valladolid, a colonial city known for its colorful streets, peaceful atmosphere, local traditions, and beautiful architecture. This stop offers a glimpse into the everyday charm and cultural identity of Yucatán. Travelers will have approximately 30 to 45 minutes of free time to walk around, take photos, enjoy the surroundings, and experience the local atmosphere at their own pace.
After the visit to Valladolid, travelers will board the transportation again for the return journey toward Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya. This final part of the tour offers time to rest after a full day of Chichen Itza history, cenote swimming, regional flavors, and colonial scenery. The experience comes to a close as travelers arrive back at their confirmed drop-off points.

If you need to travel with suitcases or larger bags, please contact us in advance so we can review your transportation assignment. Because vehicle space is limited, luggage approval is not automatic and cannot be guaranteed.
- Since April 21, 2026, archaeological sites in Mexico have applied security measures that restrict access with luggage, backpacks, and similar items. We recommend bringing only what is truly necessary for the visit. Ideally, travelers should carry small belongings that fit in pockets or in a compact personal bag. Certain exceptions, such as diaper bags, may be considered by site security staff. However, the final decision belongs exclusively to the personnel at the entrance. We are not responsible for any item that is denied access by the archaeological site. For this specific tour, travelers may leave belongings inside the transportation vehicle while visiting the scheduled stops.
- For safety and security reasons, guests may only return to the vehicle when the guide or staff announces the official boarding time. Travelers are not permitted to enter the bus or minibus early, or remain inside while the rest of the group is away. This rule is in place because personal items from other guests may be stored inside the vehicle, and access must be controlled to help protect everyone’s belongings.
- Buses, minibuses, vehicles, and seats are assigned by the operations team according to availability and the organization required for that day’s route. Guests cannot choose or request a specific vehicle or seat through the booking platform, directly with staff, or at the pickup location. Our team will always try to make the ride as comfortable as possible, but exact seats, spaces, or vehicles cannot be blocked, held, or guaranteed.
