Every step in the process how it is carefully managed, from the selection of the varieties of sugarcane that are grown on the Estate, to the natural culture of yeast used in fermentation, to our unique distillation and blending methods. Appleton Estate has the distinction of being the oldest sugar estate and distillery in Jamaica in continuous production, crafting this delicious rum with the warmth, passion and unique spirit of Jamaica for more than 265 years.

3. YS Falls is a nature-based attraction offering the opportunity to experience the beauty of the waterfalls surrounded by lush gardens and magnificent trees. There are seven waterfalls, several which cascade into natural pools. Some areas are fairly rocky and river shoes are recommended. Lifeguards on site, indicate which areas are for swimming, however, being able to swim is a requirement. There is a natural pool, fed by underground and above ground springs, which is more suitable for children and others unable to swim.

About Negril

Negril is a relaxed resort town on Jamaica's far west coast, with a long white beach, rocky cliffs, a lighthouse and some of the island's best sunsets.

Negril lies at Jamaica's western tip, split into two stretches: Seven Mile Beach on the flat coast, with soft pale sand and calm turquoise water, and the West End, where low coral cliffs drop into deep sea. A red-and-white lighthouse stands on the south-western point. The place has a laid-back feel and a reggae soundtrack, with beach bars and small hotels rather than high-rises.
