Itinerary
Tiananmen Square is the largest public square of this kind in the world. Located in the heart of Beijing City, it is the site for massive parades and rallies. You will have a glimpse at the outside of Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, the Monument to the People's Heroes, the magnificent Great Hall of the People, the National Museum of China, the ancient Zhengyang Gate and Arrow Tower as well as the Tiananmen Tower which leads to the well-known Forbidden City. All the tourists have to pass a security check before they enter the square.
Established in 1925, the Palace Museum is located in the imperial palace of the consecutive Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. The magnificent architectural complex, also known as the Forbidden City, and the vast holdings of paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, and antiquities of the imperial collections make it one of the most prestigious museums in China and the world. In 1961, the State Council designated the former imperial residence as one of China's foremost-protected cultural heritage sites, and in 1987 it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Due to limited time, we will show you the Forbidden City along the central axis line. You will pass the following places: 1.The Meridian Gate (Wu men) 2.Gate of Supreme Harmony (Taihe men) 3.Hall of Supreme Harmony (Taihe dian) 4."Treasures from the Qing Palace" West corridor rooms to the south of the Hall of Preserving Harmony (Baohe dian) 5.Hall of Central Harmony (Zhonghe dian) 6.Hall of Preserving Harmony (Baohe dian) 7.Gate of Heavenly Purity (Qianqing men) 8.Palace of Heavenly Purity (Qianqing gong) 9.Hall of Union (Jiaotai dian) 10.Palace of Earthly Tranquility (Kunning gong) 11.Imperial Garden (Yuhua yuan) 12.Gate of Divine Prowess (Shenwu men)
The Summer Palace landscape, dominated mainly by Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, covers an area of 3.08 square kilometers, three quarters of which is under water. Its 70,000 square meters of building space features a variety of palaces, gardens and other ancient-style architectural structures. Well known for its large and priceless collection of cultural relics, it was among the first group of historical and cultural heritage sites in China to be placed under special state protection. We will spend only about 1 hour there, enter from east gate and exit from north gate. Walk along Kunming Lake, and lookout the Foxiangge (Buddhist of Incense).

About Beijing
Beijing, China's capital for centuries, holds imperial palaces, sacred temples and stretches of the Great Wall within reach of its modern boulevards.
At the city's heart, the Forbidden City spreads behind vermilion walls, a labyrinth of halls and courtyards that housed the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Tiananmen Square lies to its south, and the hill of Jingshan Park to its north gives the finest view over its golden roofs. The Temple of Heaven, set in a park where locals practise tai chi and dance, is a masterpiece of imperial design.
Top-ranked sights in Beijing: Mutianyu Great Wall, Forbidden City (Palace Museum), Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang).
